AIM
Aviation, Inc. is a FAA / PMA manufacturer of aircraft interior products.
At present, AIM holds design approvals pertinent to over seventy-five
(75) Supplemental Type Certificates (STC's).
Manufacturing
Capabilities
| Our
facilities are equipped with efficient production plant and machinery
covering over 132,000 square feet. Composite sheet and molded component
manufacturing facilities include a an automated controlled 1000 ton
5'x10' press for manufacturing contoured panels as well as crushed
core composites. A five platten multiple opening press to manufacture
five 4'x8' panels simultaneously. |

Also
onsite are two 10' convection ovens and a series of component manufacturing
equipment including CNC high-speed routers, both 3 axis and 5 axis
tied into an AutoCAD design system, plus lathes, milling machines,
brake presses and guillotines. Full thermoform as well as thermoset
manufacturing equipment is also in operation.

| Finishing
and trim shops are fully equipped with infra-red micro processor controlled
vacuum decor application equipment plus detail paint spray facilities.
Electrical installations and cabin services equipment (PSU and cabin
attendant) use some of the latest state-of-the-art technology components
and are manufactured in well equipped specialized facilities.

Quality
Assurance Laboratory Capabilities
AIM
Aviation operates, within the Quality Assurance Department, a full service
test laboratory which is capable of performing program certification testing
while also supporting the in process and receiving inspection test requirements
of a composite manufacturing facility. Test capabilities include the full
range of material properties testing as well as shear, tensile and peel.
Structural substantiation is verified by means of static testing of assemblies
and bonded structures. Up-to-date and calibrated equipment is maintained
to assure aerospace accuracy. All of these services are available for
contract.
AIM
also performs flammability testing, both FAA witnessed and process control,
for exterior customers and is fully approved by the FAA and Boeing. Boeing
approvals include:
- BSS 7322 Ohio State University (OSU) Calorimeter Heat Release
- BSS 7238 Test Method / Smoke Generation by Materials on Combustion
FAA
Designated Engineering Representatives (DER's) and a FAA Designated Manufacturing
Inspection Representative (DMIR) are on staff.

FAA
Certification
As
a holder of numerous Supplemental Type Certificates (STC's), Certification
staff at AIM Aviation are highly experienced in initiating, managing and
successfully completing FAA projects on time and within budget. From the
certification plan to the issue of the STC, AIM personnel are actively
involved in all project requirements including:

- Design Data Reviews and Approvals
- Designated Engineering Representatives (DER's) all Disciplines
- Co-ordination of all Data Submittals and Conformity Inspections
- Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) Supplement Submittal
Repair
Station Capabilities
AIM
Aviation, Inc. has operated a FAA approved Repair Station since 1995,
prior to which a Manufacturing Maintenance Facility was utilized to service
and return AIM product to service. The repair station has a limited rating
that covers Saab 340 and all models of Boeing aircraft including DC-9,
MD-80 and MD-11's. Certificate number X5MR067N.
AIM's
FAA approved Alcohol and Drug Policy is linked to Repair Station operations.
