Stress Services
AIM Stress Engineers are experienced in structural analysis of metallic and fiberglass composite structures, load path calculations, and performing fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.  They provide support from concept through design development and detail analysis, drawing release through stress testing.

Stress services available include:

  • FEM/FEA and interface loads reporting and approvals (NASTRAN and FEMAP)
  • Loads and Displacements/Deformation analysis
  • Stress test plan/reports
  • Design data reviews and approvals
  • In-house static test facility
  • Cyclic testing
  • Dynamic analysis
  • Decompression analysis
  • Air flow analysis

FEM Analysis
AIM utilizes the latest NASTRAN FEM modeling programs.  They are used to generate internal loads, interface reports, deflections, vibration and to determine areas where concentrated loads need to be closely analyzed.

Detail Analysis
AIM performs detail analysis of all structure and components in order to produce the lightest structure possible.  Validation of the detail analysis is performed by full testing as part of the substantiation cycle.

Testing
AIM validates most products through testing.  This includes crush loads, flight loads, abuse loads, cyclic and vibration.  In addition AIM performs mechanical tests of all AIM process and customer requirements.

Certification Services
As a holder of over ninety (90) Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) AIM Certification Engineers are highly experienced in initiating, managing, and successfully completing FAA projects while assuring compliance with all technical and regulatory requirements.  AIM Certification Engineers are actively involved in all project requirements, whether it concerns supplier specifications, engineering drawings, analysis, testing, or documentation, AIM Certification Engineers will ensure that the installation moves smoothly.  Certification services available include:

  • STC project management
  • Parts Manufacturing Approval  (PMA) supplemental submittal
  • In-house Flammability Lab
  • Design data reviews and approvals
  • Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) all disciplines
  • Co-ordination of all data submittals and conformity inspections
